Benchmark Training Ltd was formed in 2005 by two former military officers to provide top quality, high volume and geographically dispersed training to the rail and security sectors.  The company is based in London but has a presence throughout most of the UK and specialises in the provision of both standard and bespoke voice communications training, leadership training, management training, project management training and security awareness training programmes.

Benchmark designed and now delivers voice communications training to over 10,000 rail industry personnel each year as an integral part of Network Rail’s SAFETY 6 Voice Communications Programme. The company also provides voice communication coaching and mentoring services across the rail sector and has now expanded this portfolio into the Police and the Retail sector.

The significant majority of Benchmark’s staff are from a military background where each has proved themselves under operational conditions and where the instructors have taught at some of the country’s most prestigious military training schools.  The company uses these unique qualities to provide its clients with an ultra reliable and competitive service that David Montgomery, the Benchmark Managing Director, describes as “unsurpassed”.

Benchmark has a range of management and leadership training courses to suit lower, middle and top-level management needs.  The courses utilise many of the specialist techniques used in the preparation of military leaders at all levels.

The company also specialises in the design and delivery of bespoke courses to its clients most often following an analysis of their training needs.  Benchmark has utilised this process extensively for the development of its training packages for the Police.
